Key Stage 1

Key Stage One is made up of two classes of Year One and two classes of Year Two. The children are aged 5 to 7 years.

The Year One classes are called Ladybirds and Butterflies and the Year Two classes are called Hedgehogs and Robins.

Children in Year One will follow the early years pedagogy and have access to continuous provision throughout the day. In Year Two, the children move to a more formalised approach.

A team of teaching assistants work in Key Stage One supporting the children with their learning.

Key Stage One is accessed in the morning from the front playground where teachers are on the doors to greet the children from 8.45am. The children also leave from these doors at 3.15pm.

The classrooms all have access to our Key Stage One Agora which provides working space and to an outside space area for outdoor learning.
