Spanish

Throughout their time in Jeavons Wood children are exposed to a number of languages and will learn a few words or phrases in that language but Spanish is our main language.

Key Stage Two (from Year Three onwards) have a weekly Spanish lesson where they learn the vocabulary and how to write in Spanish. This lesson is delivered by a trained teacher who works in our school. In Year Six the children are taught their Spanish lesson in Spanish by a teacher from the Secondary school. This helps with transition as well as progression.
