Science

Sscience is taught in mini units with at least one lesson per week. The science units cover the knowledge, skills and concepts that the children need to know.

Our science lessons involve a lot of practical work and we teach the children how to represent their findings in a scientific way. They also learn about key scientists. Our knowledge organiser will tell you more about what we teach.

The children tell us how much they love science at Jeavons Wood! A whole school Science Day takes place bi-annually where we carry out a whole school investigation and look at a range of scientific concepts. We even put the deputy headteacher in a bubble!
