The School Day

The school day officially begins at 8:45 (Year 1 to Year 6) and 8.55am (Year R) It is parental responsibility to ensure their child reaches their classroom.

All children come into school via the cloakroom door and leave school via the classroom door. Parents have the opportunity to talk to members of KS1 and KS2 staff during this time but are not expected to stay. Foundation Stage staff will greet the children at the gate and be on hand to talk to parents.

At the end of the day all Foundation Stage children (15:00) and Key Stage 1 children (15:10) and Year 3 (15:15) will be handed to a named adult. Other Key Stage 2 children will be released from the classroom door at 15:15 where parents have the responsibility to arrange a pick up point for their children. Staff members will wait at the classroom door should children wish to wait for parents.

Key Stage 2 children who are going to After School Club (ASC) can make their own way but Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 children will be escorted by a member of the ASC staff.

Staff will take "late-collection children" to the School Office 10 minutes after the end of the day. Adults who are late collecting their children must collect from the School Office.
